Several earthquake, even one 5.2 and the other 4.7 Richter in the north of Khuzestan province could be worrisome. In the west Khuzestan from Andimeshk to Abadan the ground is flat, and winter rain could be very strong. Penetration of water and washed layers under the soil surface and pouring this solutions in the rivers could cause the soil sinking in long term. From the other side the new discoveries of oil fields and resulting exploitation from oil fields though they take care of keeping pressure of the oil wells constant, it is not possible to avoid soil sinking. If we look to the places the earthquakes happened we see the slide of mountains, of course it is not an actual visible movement, making pressure to faults. As the keeping pressure of oil wells is important, building of retaining walls and filling the holes usually made to have geological samples with hard and flexible matter or betony should be arranged. Anyhow every commercial activity has a cost and we have to pay this cost.
