Nowadays, we use the following devices to study particles behavior or heating plasma. But, we do not use as an atomic energy producer. Uranium like petroleum has limited resources and soon we have to find new resources. The following is a brief explanation of two kinds of devices:
Cyclotron
Physicists use particle accelerators to study the nature of matter and energy. The massive machines accelerate charged particles (ions) through an electric field in a hollow, evacuated tube, eventually, to collide each ion with a stationary target or another moving particle. Scientists analyze the results of the collisions, attempting to probe the interactions governing the subatomic world. (The collision point is usually located in a bubble chamber, a device that records the tracks of ionizing particles as rows of tiny bubbles in a liquid-filled chamber.) The paths of the accelerating particles may be straight, spiral, or circular. Both the cyclotron (spiral path) and the synchrotron (circular path) use an increasingly strong magnetic field to control the paths of particles. Although smashing particles may initially appear to be an odd technique of studying them, particle accelerators have enabled scientists to learn more about the subatomic world than any other device.
Gyrotron
The gyrotron is a type of free electron maser (microwave amplification by stimulated emission of radiation). It has high power at millimeter wavelengths because its dimensions can be much larger than the wavelength, unlike conventional vacuum tubes, and it is not dependent on material properties, as are conventional masers. The bunching depends on a relativistic effect called the Cyclotron Resonance Maser instability. The electron speed in a gyrotron is slightly relativistic (comparable to but not close to the speed of light). This contrasts to the free electron laser (and xaser) that work on different principles and which electrons are highly relativistic.
Gyrotrons are used for many industrial and high technology heating applications. For example, gyrotrons are used in nuclear fusion research experiments to heat plasmas, and also in manufacturing industry as a rapid heating tool in processing glass, composites, and ceramics, as well as for annealing (solar and semiconductors). Additionally, years of testing by the U.S. military has led to the development of a weapon system intended for non-lethal crowd control called the Active Denial System, which delivers a sensation of intense heat to its target using a directional beam of energy.
We can use the emitter or the source of particles a pump for pumping the metallic powder through the path. We can wire or use laminated special metals, around a round or square shape of a metallic tube to accelerate these metallic powder. At the end of tube we can conduct these metallic particles to a tube of water. The collision of this metallic powder with water heat the water and we can use this water like hot water of installations or water vapor for producing electricity. We can install

a pump to pump water to a tower and a pump after a deviating transformer for collecting the metallic powder to recycle. This is only a proposed scheme. Maybe by experimenting such a devices, we increase efficiency of a non-Uranium or radioactive atomic energy. We can construct for each small city one such a device to produce hot water under the city streets and even houses and administrative buildings.

I have to mention, as a reminder, we have to take care of a two edges of the blade: cold and warm weather. Around the year 2012 we might have hot weather and several fires and earthquake around the world we have to release energy and prepare ourselves by having wells ready for pumping heat and making energy to use elsewhere.

Around the year 2017 we might have cold weather and several freezing around the world we have to supply energy and prepare ourselves by constructing small pipes over the fuel transport or warm water pipes under the streets. Maybe, some cities have such installations but, if some have not, should be ready. Even wrapping the trees, after pruning, during the winter could be necessary. Therefore balancing this energy during next decade is vital.

Cooking lesson
When you would like a fruit, but, you do not want to eat it, you can make syrup of it. First you place the fruit in metal bowl and add water and sugar enough to cook it and as you would like it. You cook till you have uncolored fruit. You filter the content of bowl and again you boil it to be more concentrated. You can add aromatic substances as well. Almost the flame for cooking is round. You see when it is boiling depending the intensity of flame, some light slag form around the bowl. You see a ring of boiling syrup placed over the flame under the bowl. The slag could be between this ring and bowl body, or inside the ring. This is what we see in the golf of California and later in Taiwan flood. Or the passed disastrous flood in New Orleans. The Pacific Ocean induced or independently the same happened to Mediterranean Sea. This is a general phenomenon; all countries should take part and reduce the impact of it. There should be an international program of drilling and heat transfer control, if we want to stay safe from big earthquake and flood, like what happened in Istanbul, Athena, Los Angeles, or Taiwan recently. Scientific American Journal writes we need special pumps to use magma power. We know Russians has gone down up to 7 miles and Germen up to 14 km. the problem is plasticity of rocks in 10 km deep inside the earth. We do not need more than 100 degree centigrade to send pure water down and take water vapor up the pumps installed in upper part of the pipe we use for pumping water vapor. We should use a pipe closed at the end like a measuring cylinder in laboratory to send down water and a pipette like tube inside it to pump the water vapor. Of course, several pumps are needed to bring up the vapor. You can as well use some lift mechanism to send down the water if you think it might explode.
The problem is not the ability of exploitation but energy balance. You know according to the theory of magma, magma in one point comes up and in some other point goes down. In Athena comes up in Istanbul goes down. The distance of Athena to Los Angeles is 5xe times of Athena to Istanbul. I found some years ago that the wave length is 35 km in some regions.
Maybe, a remark could be useful. When you have several of these planets over our head, magma comes up like the sea tide. 1- It heats up the region it is under and might bring fire to forest or shrubs. 2- Moves loose mountains. 3- Bring up the land over itself and makes earthquake. 4- Goes down and cool fast the region over it and produce some floods. 5- Slowly come up like Beijing and later generalize a waste region like Sichuan. 6- Its general convection in upper mantel and its impact over tectonic plates that is very important.
